NATIVE Shetland Lamb has been shortlisted in the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2012 in the ‘new product marketing category’.
Shetland Livestock Marketing Group chairman Ronnie Eunson said being shortlisted was a great achievement.
“To coincide with the opening of the new abattoir, we have been working on a number of marketing initiatives including developing and implementing a marketing strategy for native Shetland lamb which positions it as a high end, premium and fairly exclusive product,” he said.
The winners will be unveiled at the awards ceremony at the Dunblane Hydro Hotel by on 24 May.
