Chimney fire
SCALLOWAY fire brigade was called out to a house in the village on Wednesday evening to extinguish a chimney fire.
Fire fighters had to remove the stove and parts of the wall behind the stove to reach the fire which was put out using “small gear”.
The call out came in at 10.18pm, with fire fighters returning back to the station an hour later.
