Trial date set

A TRIAL date has been set for the 12 July after a Lerwick woman pled not guilty to charges of assault and being in possession of an offensive weapon.

Laura Lynn Hassan, of 65 Gilbertson Road, appeared from custody before Lerwick Sheriff Court on Thursday.

She is charged with assaulting another person and also threatening violence by brandishing a glass bottle at her address, at Lerwick’s Mounthooly Street on 11 April.

She is also charged with being in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a glass bottle.

The 35 year old was released on bail.
