News / CLAN centre opens in May
THE NEW CLAN Cancer Support centre in Lerwick’s Commercial Road is set to open next month.
The new centre will bring together all of the charity’s local cancer support services under one roof.
The facility will include a drop-in service for support and information, complementary therapies, a charity shop and space for groups to meet.
Claire Fraser, support’s services manager, said: “It is fantastic for CLAN that we are now in a position to open the centre in Shetland. CLAN receives so much support for its work from across Shetland.
“Having dedicated premises allows CLAN to develop services in the future to meet the needs of the people in Shetland, and we will be able to offer our services in smart new premises.”
