News / Two appear in court

A LERWICK man appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday charged with threatening or abusive behaviour.

Callum Jamieson, aged 28, of St Olaf Street, is accused of challenging door staff to a fight, struggling with police officers, shouting, swearing, spitting and head butting the interior of a police car.

The offences are alleged to have happened in Quendale Lane and Hillhead, in Lerwick, as well as in a police car on its way to Lerwick police station on Saturday.
Jamieson made no plea or declaration and has been bailed to appear next month on condition he is not drunk in public until then.

Also Neil Tulloch of Lerwick appeared from custody in private charged with assault. The 38 year old made no plea or declaration and was released on bail after being committed for further examination.
