News / Both freight boats cancelled again
NorthLink has cancelled tonight’s scheduled sailings of both its cargo vessels.
The sound bound journey of the Arrow was cancelled due to “forecasted high and very high swell in Fair Isle gap”.
Meanwhile, the sailing of the Hildasay from Aberdeen to Lerwick has also been cancelled because of adverse weather conditions.
NorthLink said that the vessel would instead now head for Kirkwall leaving Aberdeen at 4pm today (Thursday). She is expected to arrive in Orkney at 1am on Friday morning and will following a quick turnaround head back to Aberdeen at 3am.
