TWO MEN have been arrested following in alleged assault in Lerwick’s Haldane Burgess Crescent, during the Up Helly Aa celebrations in the town.
A 46 year old man was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for treatment to a head injury following the incident, which is alleged to have taken place at 1.45am on Wednesday morning.
Two men aged 25 and 26 were arrested and later released by the procurator fiscal on Thursday.
A police spokesman said: “Anyone who may have any information regarding this incident or saw anyone suspicious in this area at this time is urged to call Lerwick police station on 01595 692110.”
