News / Band’s 21st
SHETLAND folk rock band Rock, Salt & Nails are to celebrate their 21st birthday with a gig at the Oran Mor on 3 February as part of the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow.
The event will feature a number of special guests plus the return of several ex-band members.
Band member Fiona Johnston said they were really looking forward to playing Celtic Connections again.
“We’ve had some great gigs and audiences at Celtic Connections in previous years, so what better place to kick-start the celebrations for our 21st anniversary year.
“Coincidentally the 3rd February is the actual date the band first got together all those years ago, so that will make the night itself all the more special for us.”
The band comprises front man Paul Johnston on guitar, vocals and banjo; Fiona Johnston on keyboards and vocals; Linda Irvine on fiddle and vocals; John Clark on bass and Davie Jamieson on drums.
