MANY islanders were able to enjoy a spectacular display of the northern lights on Sunday night after the news of the Merry Dancers being out spread via phone and social media sites.
The Aurora Borealis display lasted from at least 6.30 to 11pm. Many thanks to Shetland News reader Chris Brown who sent in this photo taken from Trondra.
