News / Peacocks take over Co-op cafe
THE CO-OP supermarket in Lerwick is to close its café and lease it out to the UK clothes retailer Peacocks.
The local planning department has received an application to erect two signs for the clothing store and the Co-op have confirmed they will be closing the café and a retailer will be moving in.
In October the supermarket announced they would be shedding 14 full-time jobs at the Lerwick store as part of a nationally driven efficiency drive.
