News / Out of School praise
THE ISLESBURGH Out of School Club has been rated “very good” by the Care Inspectorate following an unannounced two day visit at the end of last year.
The club runs a morning breakfast club between 8am and 9am, and after school activities between 3pm and 9pm, for up to 42 children between the ages of four and 14.
Inspectors praised staff for creating a “warm and caring atmosphere for the children after their school day”.
They were noted to have a “very positive relationship with the children” and were observed encouraging the children to “show kindness and consideration to each other”.
Out of School club manager Carrie-Ann Bannister said: “It’s great that the inspection report reflects the positive comments that we have received from parents throughout the year.
“We have a very good staff team at the club who work well together and the children certainly seem to enjoy their time here”. The full inspection report is available from the Care Inspectorate website at www.scswis.com.
