News / Whalsay designers in major book
A MAJOR publication on international artists called The New Artisans features two Whalsay born textile designers.
Andrea Williamson and Jen Deschênes appear alongside 75 selected designers and artists from around in the world, in the book by international design expert Olivier Dupon, published by Thames & Hudson.
A book launch will be held at Bonhoga Gallery at 6.30pm on 7 December and is free to attend.
The beautifully illustrated book captures the new global preference for a return to the unique and the handmade, and includes a directory of hundreds of the ‘new artisans’ products, recommended shops, websites and blogs.
