News / Unst businesses win tourism award
THE SAXA Vord Resort, in Unst, and its network of suppliers, including Unst Regeneration Growers’ Enterprise (URGE), have won the prestigious Highland and Islands tourism award in the best supplier partnership category.
This award celebrates partnerships in the supply chain, where individuals or businesses have come together in an innovative and creative way to help themselves and each other, in the interests of an improved customer experience.
A second Shetland business, the Scalloway Hotel, was shortlisted in the Highland eating out experience category, which was won by the Loch Ness Country House Hotel & Restaurant.
The awards ceremony and gala dinner took place at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness, on Friday night.
