Wills gets church debate
JONATHAN Wills has succeeded in persuading Shetland Charitable Trust to discuss the pros and cons of supporting the Shetland Church Council Trust to the tune of £54,000 a year.
In the past Dr Wills has repeatedly questioned whether the grant was used to support evangelical work, saying the trust should not be seen to support one religious belief over others.
On Thursday, trustees agreed to debate the issue later this winter. Representatives of the churches trust will be invited.
