ON THURSDAY ferry operator NorthLink announced that they were now open for bookings for 2012.
All advance bookings for next year have now been actioned and customers will shortly receive confirmations.
Bookings can be made in the normal way via www.northlinkferries.co.uk or 0845 6000 449.
Meanwhile ferry services returned to normal schedule on Thursday after three days of disruption due to adverse weather conditions closing Aberdeen harbour.
The harbour only opened at 10pm on Wednesday night to allow in the Hjaltland, which had departed Lerwick at 6am. The ferry set off back north at 1am arriving at 11.15am on Thursday.
