LERWICK practice Richard Gibson Architects has been shortlisted for a prestigious design award for their Grödians housing development at Quoys.
The housing scheme is one of 13 shortlised from an unprecedented 35 entries for the RIAS Andrew Doolan ‘Best Building in Scotland’ Award, jointly funded by the Scottish government and the family of the late Andrew Doolan who founded the award.
An RIAS judging panel will visit the Hjaltland Housing Association scheme soon with the winner to be announced in the Scottish Parliament on 17 November.
Richard Gibson Architects have been involved in almost 900 Shetland projects since being established in 1972, including the recently completed Sandness public hall upgrade and the planned Eric Gray Centre.
