News / Man bailed on heroin charges
A YOUNG man from Aberdeen has been released on bail by Lerwick Sheriff Court after being arrested with suspected heroin whose estimated street value was £1,200.
On Monday afternoon Kyle Mitchell, whose address was not given, appeared from custody in private after being arrested on Saturday morning at Lerwick’s Holmsgarth ferry terminal as he disembarked the ferry Hrossey from Aberdeen.
The 26 year old made no plea or declaration when he was charged with contravening the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and was committed for further examination before Sheriff Graeme Napier released him on bail.
