News / Two men arrested for assault
TWO men were arrested for assault over the weekend, according the police in Shetland.
A 48 year old has been reported to the procurator fiscal for assaulting a police officer on Friday evening, while in a separate incident two men were arrested for assault and breach of the peace respectively in the early hours of Saturday.
A 17 year old man was arrested on Friday evening for sending abusive text messages.
A man was also arrested for drink driving on Lerwick’s Church Road after failing a breath test on Saturday in the early hours.
