News / Tingwall road re-opened after crash
POLICE have re-opened the main A970 at Tingwall following a two vehicle collision that has left two people in hospital with minor injuries.
A car and a pick up crashed just after noon near Veensgarth, which meant closing the main road for around one hour due to the position of the vehicles.
Police said they had contacted Shetland Islands Council to grit the road as the surface was “still slippy”.
They added that both drivers had been taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital, but they had only suffered minor seatbelt injuries.
