News / Police seize more heroin at Holmsgarth
A TWENTY year old woman is expected to appear before Lerwick Sheriff Court on Friday after police found her in possession of heroin with a potential street value of £4,200.
The young woman was searched at the Holmsgarth ferry terminal, on Thursday. A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Meanwhile, 47 year old Desiree Hassan, from Lerwick, made her second appearance before Lerwick Court on alleged drugs offences.
On Thursday, she appeared in private and from custody, made no plea or declaration, was fully committed for trial, and was remanded in custody.
Her court appearance follows the seizure of class A drugs with an estimated street value of £4,000 from a house in Lerwick, on Wednesday last week.
