Drugs suspect remanded in custody

A FORTY seven year-old woman was remanded in custody after appearing in private from custody before Lerwick Sheriff Court on alleged drugs offences, on Thursday.

Desiree Hassan, of Lerwick, made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination.

Her court appearance followed the seizure of class A drugs with an estimated street value of £4,000 from a house in Lerwick, on Wednesday.
