News / Banned for being four times the limit

A SHETLAND man has been disqualified from driving after being arrested for being four times the legal limit for alcohol.

Appearing from custody on Monday afternoon, 34 year old Brendon Smith, of Glenview, Dunrossness, pled guilty to drink driving on Scalloway’s Main Street, on Sunday afternoon.

Smith was arrested after police were tipped off about his driving by concerned members of the public.

Honorary sheriff deferred sentence for reports until 21 September and released Smith on bail.
