News / Flights resume Tuesday afternoon

LOGANAIR have announced that some flights from Sumburgh airport will resume on Tuesday afternoon.

Services between Sumburgh and Aberdeen will recommence after 3pm and the evening flight from Inverness to Shetland via Kirkwall will also operate.

Flights to Glasgow and Edinburgh will still be affected by the volcanic ash throughout the afternoon.

A Loganair spokesman said Wednesday morning’s flights to Edinburgh would be cancelled, but expected to progressively restore operations during the course of the day as the high density ash cloud clears away to the east.
