Local boat heads for new home

SHETLAND fishing boat Snowdrop is off on her travels after being sold to New Zealander Wok Goodman from Whitianga, on the north island. This picture shows Wok and his fellow countryman Lyle Wood getting her ready for their voyage to Grangemouth on Wednesday from where she will be shipped as cargo down under to be rigged out for long lining. The 11.52m boat was built in 1989 for its owners in Skerries, and she should arrive at her new home, appropriately enough, in time for winter. (Photo: Valian)
