Man remanded after assault

A FORTY four year old Lerwick man was remanded in custody after appearing in private from custody before the town’s sheriff court on a charge of assault, on Monday.

James Alexander Gray, of 4 Grostane, made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination.

He is expected to appear again before the court next week.
