News / Bronze for Rocks
SHETLAND fencer Christopher Rocks has won a bronze medal on his first outing for the Scotland team in the Commonwealth Games, in Melbourne, Australia.
On Monday the four strong senior men’s epee team from Scotland beat home side Australia 40-35 to take bronze after being defeated by India in the semi final 45-32. England went on to beat India in the final 45-44.
Rocks was not originally picked for the Scotland team, but was drafted in when one of the other competitors pulled out at the last minute.
