Another business break in

WHOLESALE warehouse JW Gray is the latest Lerwick business to be the victim of burglars in the town.

Police yesterday (Tuesday) reported that their building on Gremista industrial estate was broken into some time during Monday night or Tuesday morning and alcohol and cigarettes were stolen.

Several attempts have been made to break into commercial premises in Lerwick over the past few weeks, leading the police to advise businesses to ensure their security systems are in full working order.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lerwick police station on 01595 692110, Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111 or the Safer Shetland Action Line on 01595 694544.
