The Scottish government has launched a hotline to help people who have been affected by the disruption to air travel caused by the volcanic from Iceland.
Travellers and their families can call 0800 027 0504 from Britain or +44 800 027 0504 from overseas.
The main Foreign and Commonwealth Office helpline remains 0207 008 0000 from the UK and +44 207 008 0000 from abroad
The Scottish government helpline will offer general advice such as contact details for airlines and travel operators, a digest of the latest information issued by travel operators including any additional transport capacity and related issues such as how relatives may transmit money to travellers abroad.
