Shetland Seafood Exports Ltd are a newly established seafood processing company located in Heylor, Northmavine.  We are dedicated to delivering high-quality seafood products to our customers and are committed to sustainability and excellence in all aspects of our operations.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated people to join our team for a number of full-time positions as: Production Operatives.

Previous experience within seafood processing or a similar environment would be advantageous. A Valid forklift certificate may also be beneficial but full training will be provided.

The position will involve various tasks working with shellfish and fish products. Including operating and monitoring production machinery, sorting, grading, cooking, shucking, filleting, completing quality checks, as well as weighing, labelling, boxing and despatch of product. Staff will also be responsible for cleaning of processing areas and equipment daily following production.

Successful applicants will require at least a basic understanding of English with an ability to follow written and oral instructions. Be able to meet the physical demands of the role including manual handling and working in refrigerated environments. While complying with all company food hygiene and health and safety procedures.

Normal working hours for the business are 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, however a willingness to work out with these hours dependent on production schedules shall be required. Competitive hourly rate available with the benefit of guaranteed hours, and the potential for overtime.
