DAY TEAM

Fish Market Operative | Permanent, Part-Time

 

Join the team at Shetland Seafood Auctions Ltd, supporting the day-to-day operation of Lerwick and Scalloway Fish Markets.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, practical and has good attention to detail.

  • 15 hours per week.
  • £12,275 per annum.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential. Electrical vehicle provided for work purposes only.

 

Duties include

  • Post-sale labelling and tallying of fish boxes.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Looking after operational equipment, PPE and supplies.
  • General operational and administrative support.
  • Working across Lerwick and Scalloway Fish Markets.

 

Staff may be required to travel between sites during a shift, and may need to attend markets at short notice. Work can take place outside public transport operating hours, and may require independent travel.

Full training provided – Previous fish market experience is not essential.
