We’re looking for a gifted, results-driven and highly experienced farm manager to lead our new salmon farm at Fish Holm in Yell Sound. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead the largest farm in the Scottish Sea Farms estate. 

Fish Holm is a £9m+ development compromising of 12 x 160m pens and a maximum allowable biomass of 6,000 tonnes. It is an exposed, strongly flushed tidal site, specifically designed to meet the challenges of operating safely and effectively in a high energy environment. 

The role

As farm manager, you will lead the day-to-day running of Fish Holm, which will be Scottish Sea Farms’ flagship site. You will be responsible for fish welfare, production, people, health and safety, environmental compliance, and delivery against agreed targets and KPI’s. 

What you bring

You’ll be an experienced salmon-farm manager with a successful track record of delivering results in demanding and exposed marine environments. You will be driven, motivated and able to bring the best our of a team. Strong leadership skills are essential, along with sound judgement and a detailed understanding of fish husbandry, health management, environmental compliance and safe systems of work.
