Court / Defendant in witness box at sexual assault trial
A MAN accused of two sexual assaults in Lerwick gave evidence and was cross examined at a jury trial in Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
John MacLellan, 67, of Scunthorpe, but formerly of Lerwick, is accused of sexually assaulting two women at houses in the town on 20 September 2015 and 28 July 2018. MacLellan denies the charges.
Closing arguments are expected to be made tomorrow morning before the jury considers the evidence.
