News / Enquiries ongoing following one-vehicle accident

POLICE were alerted to a one-vehicle road accident near to the Sandwater junction on the A970 in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Police said the occupant(s) had left the scene, with enquiries ongoing to trace the driver.

Officers are also looking for information after three windows of the Happyhansel Primary School in Walls were damaged with scratches.

The damage is said to have taken place between last Monday evening (28 October) and 9am the following day.

Police are also appealing for information regarding damage to a white Peugeot van parked on South Lochside in Lerwick.

The van received dents to its nearside panel between 3pm on Saturday (2 November) and 8.30am on Monday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 or call along Lerwick police station.
