News / Police investigate assault and racial incident

POLICE in Lerwick are looking for witnesses to come forward after a man was reported to be assaulted and the target of racially aggravated comments, in the early hours of Sunday.

The incident took place within Da Vadill housing scheme, near Grantfield, in Lerwick, at around 3.50am.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lerwick police station on telephone 101.
