TWO fire appliances were sent out to Weisdale on Monday night to attend to a fire on a tractor and trailer containing hay bales.

Crew from Scalloway and Bixter received the call at around 10.15pm and two sets of breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet were used to extinguish the fire at Kurkigarth.
