News / Goodlad granted bail

A YOUNG man who has failed to complete a community payback order has been granted bail after appearing from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday.

Larri Goodlad, 20, who now lives in Greenock, was granted his liberty on the condition that he remains in Shetland until the case calls again early next month.

He was given a community payback order with unpaid work in June 2015 for producing cannabis at a Lerwick address in January of that year.

Goodlad subsequently served a prison term for being concerned in the supply of the class B substance.

Defence agent Tommy Allan said he was waiting on confirmation of whether Goodlad has a condition that would render him unable to carry out unpaid work.

Honorary sheriff Willie Shannon granted bail to an address at Lerwick’s Stanegarth and continued the case until Wednesday 2 August.
