A TWENTY eight year old man has been kept behind bars after appearing at Lerwick Sheriff Court in relation to knife possession and drugs charges.

Adam Nelson, of Brae, appeared in private from custody on Monday on a petition alleging breaches of Section 49 of the Criminal Law Consolidation Act and section 5(2) of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

He made no plea, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
