Letters / Gender equality
I am very happy to see that [SNP election candidate] Miriam Brett has committed to focus on issues of gender equality if elected.
The last Conservative government has a very poor record on issues affecting women, need we mention the rape clause and child benefit cap.
Her commitment to a gender balanced cabinet and a living wage are things that have inspired me to vote for her. Compare this to some of the messages at this election, making it all about stopping a second independence referendum. It’s not a vote on a second [referendum], it’s a vote on how the country is governed for the next five years. Make a wise choice.
