STRONG winds have caused disruption to NorthLink’s passenger ferry sailings to and from Shetland.

The Hrossey’s southbound sailing is to leave Lerwick 90 minutes earlier than scheduled at 5.30pm on Tuesday evening. She should arrive in Aberdeen at 7am on Wednesday.

The Hjaltland’s northbound sailing from Aberdeen on Tuesday night is expected to leave on time at 7pm, but the ferry operator is warning her arrival may be delayed until 10.30am on Wednesday.
