News / David Brown traced

David Brown

Missing Shetland man David Brown has been “traced safe and well” on the UK mainland, local police said on Monday morning.

Police sergeant Martyn Brill confirmed that the 68 year old had already been traced on Friday.

The chef from Lerwick Hotel had last been seen by a friend on Wednesday 2 March and was reported missing the following day.

Shetland police had launched a nationwide search after it emerged Brown could have travelled to Cornwall or Devon.

Police thanked everyone who assisted them in their enquiries.
