News / Stolen outboard

The outboard before it was stolen from West Dock.

SHETLAND police are looking for help to trace a valuable outboard motor that was stolen from a small boat at Lerwick’s West Dock near the Co-op supermarket.

The outboard disappeared some time between Thursday afternoon and early on Friday morning.

Police described the Honda engine as silver, four feet high and two feet wide, which is so large and heavy that it could only be carried in a vehicle.

Anyone with information on where the outboard may be or who may be responsible for the theft has been asked to contact the police on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
