News / Man’s car ended up in a field

A MAN whose car left the road and ended up in a field in Shetland’s south mainland was taken to hospital for treatment at the weekend.

He had been travelling on the A970 road near Boddam when the accident took place shortly after 3.45pm on Saturday.

An ambulance crew treated him at the scene before he was transferred to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick.
