News / Trial over breath samples

A FORTY FOUR year old man who denies failing to prove breath samples to establish whether he was over the drink driving limit is set to face trial.

Bruce Kincaid, of Ladies Drive, Lerwick, appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Tuesday charged with failing to provide two specimens of breath without reasonable excuse.

He had been stopped by police when driving a van at the town’s Holmsgarth Road on Sunday (31 May).

A trial date was set for 1 October and honorary sheriff Erik Peterson granted Kincaid bail in the meantime.
