Lauren Sandison with her bronze medal

AN OUTSTANDING performance from Shetland lass Lauren Sandison won her the bronze medal in the 200m backstroke in the 13 year old age group at the Scottish National age group swimming championships being held this week at the aquatics centre in Aberdeen.

Lauren swam the first 100m of this race in a personal best time, and maintained the pace to finish in a personal best time and Shetland age group record time of 2.34.98.
