Letters / Rude and personal
Postscript to my previous letter. I am truly sorry to Johann Lamont and Wendy Alexander for ignoring them in my letter. I should have written lady leaders of the SNP.
It is very ironic that the late and very charismatic Margo MacDonald resigned from the SNP and stated the SNP were snakes. She never stood again for the SNP (she never retracted that comment, as far as I am aware). She would have been a good leader. Just a good woman, perhaps worth a mention.
Now with regard to the two comments from writers in this paper about myself, Malachy Tallack and Willie Nicolson. Their description of myself as having “an irrational hatred of nationalists” and being “deeply patronising” – those comments are hardly intelligent arguments to endorse the Yes campaign. Cybernat comments perhaps, certainly rude, personal and somewhat irrelevant to the debate. Maybe they help prove my point.
