Letters / No rich benefactor

Sustainable Shetland has no rich benefactor, as Kenny Johnson would have your readers believe (Truly ludicrous; SN 8/2/13).

It is the strength and depth of feeling of hundreds of Shetlanders regarding the proposed Viking windfarm that has enabled us to call for a judicial review.

We rely on contributions from our 851 members and the general public, and our financial appeal is on-going.

Donations can be sent to our treasurer: Mrs E Jamieson, 34 West Baila, Lerwick, Shetland, ZE1 0SG (tel. 01595 695117) and further information can be found on the Sustainable Shetland website.

As a member of the SuS committee I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have donated to date for their generosity and kindness.
