Frightened by vocal minority

Why are so many candidates frightened by the highly vocal minority who want to stop Viking Energy and our links to the National Grid? 

The Shetland Times poll showed that, at best , there was a third of folk opposed.  The other two-thirds also have votes and candidates would do well to remember it.
