News / Uyeasound and Burravoe to close

COUNCILLORS have voted by 13-7 to close Uyeasound primary school on Unst and by 12-8 to close Burravoe primary school on Yell during a long meeting of Shetland Islands Council’s services committee in Lerwick Town Hall on Tuesday morning, which is being attended by about 20 parents. Decisions have yet to be taken on North Roe and Sandness primaries.
