News / Sandness & North Roe saved, Uyeasound & Burravoe lost

COUNCILLORS have voted to save the primary schools in Sandness (13-6) and North Roe (11-8), but to close the schools in Uyeasound (13-7) and Burravoe (12-8).

The decisions of the special services committee meeting will have to be ratified by the full council next week.
