News / SIC to charge for music tuition

Hopes by SIC culture spokesman Rick Nickerson to stop the council from charging for music tuition as of August were dashed this morning (Wednesday).

Councillors voted to go ahead with a review of the music tuition service, but at the instigation of councillor Betty Fullerton the idea of deferring charges until November was abandoned.

Mr Nickerson lost by seven votes to twelve.
